Regional Canvas at the Childers Arts Space is an area of the gallery dedicated to showing the work of artists living and working in the Bundaberg region. It provides an opportunity to present a small number of works that may not have been exhibited previously or may form part of a planned larger exhibition. Bundaberg Regional Galleries is keen to hear from regional artists who are interested in showing their work at Regional Canvas at CHARTS. Brushin' Round Australia - Mary Argall
12 May – 19 July 2015
Bargara resident and well known watercolour artist features on the Regional Canvas wall at CHARTS with three pieces from her exhibition, Brushin’ Round Australia. In 2011 Mary embarked on a journey from Bargara to Central and Western Australia. On her return home she completed an exhibition, Brushin’ Round Australia which features watercolour landscapes that she encountered on her trip. Mary’s enthusiasm for her artistic practice is infectious and she is brightening our Saturday mornings at the Childers Art Space by working in the gallery for a few hours while her work is on show.
Landscapes and Seascapes - Marilyn Murray

Marilyn Murray’s Landscapes and Seascapes are pieces that formed part of her larger exhibition, Home is Where the Heart Is, which was most recently at the Gayndah Art Gallery. Since commencing her painting journey in 2005, Marilyn has worked primarily in pastels. She also uses acrylics and oils. Marilyn enjoys painting a diversity of subjects, but she feels a particular affinity with Australian wildlife, and the local landscapes and seascapes of our region.
